Flying high without a parachute

Yesterday morning around 9am PST, I was sitting in my office doing my normal bits of work when I got a phone call from my boss; he was just about to get on a flight to Chicago to make sure that the ethanol plant that we are working with in Rensileer Indiana was going "as well as a well oiled woman.” He asked me if I was still interested in going to Florida to do some work with MSW, I responded with a hell yeah and he informed me that Rob was going to give me a call shortly to make all of the preparations and we would move on from there.

Rob called about 30 minutes later and I gave him all the information that he needed, and asked me if I would be willing to fly out on Tuesday -aka today-. I didn’t have any concrete plans so I took it. While I knew that I was eventually going to fly to Florida, I did not know that I was going to be given one day to prepare. But to be honest it couldn’t have come at a better time.

I was in desperate need to get away, and change everything. After all there is nothing better to renew ones spirit in what they like as to get the hell away from it for a quite some time; and then in the same respect living without something to show yourself that you are better off without it. I have yet to find out which will come from my extended leave from everything, but I am sure that once I return to what I am used to, things will be different.

Florida, on the other hand, is ridiculous. I have always known that I was lucky to be living in California, and that while we are the fattest country in the world, California wasn't that bad. Yeah there are fat people, but there seem to be many more thin people around. In Florida however... I feel like a frikken model. I have yet to go to a bar, or any other type social environment, but form what I have seen the common populous… omfg ugly times 10. On top of that I step out of the plane and it is 78 degrees and raining.

I will try to keep this page filled with the adventurous times and photos to relate the words I spew to visuals of colors. For now all that I can give you is a photo of the back of Rob’s head and my room. After all it is 9pm and pitch black out there, and I don’t want to get eaten by a crocodile.
