The weekend

Last weekend was filled with some more weight loss on the car, and a visit from none other than Mr. Drew King himself.

Drew, whom you may remember form the sweat-tune days of old, recently bought himself a car whose sole purpose is to tackle speed-bumps and pot-holes like a racecar tackles the track. The car he chose for this project is a Toyota TE72 with the fabled 3TC engine.

While we discussed the new car, Martin was hammering/cutting/yelling/wrenching away at the awesomely "fun" install of a 5-speed into his 75 Jaguar XJ-S

The day continued on and Drew reminded me that I needed to remove my heater by asking me what the unconnected hoses in my engine bay were doing there. So after 4 bolt and a couple snips on the dash supports I pulled the heater out and weighed it.

Yet another 13lbs removed from the car; really can’t wait to see how much the car really weighs!

I finished bolting up the seat, and for $100 I really can't complain.

And while I was in the driver's compartment I figured it would be time to finny get some grip on those pedals

Since my sister was over for the weekend, and she did just painted her toe-nails...

The rest of Saturday was filled with the talk of the run, Drew's car, and more of martin yelling at the mess of wires that the XJ-S provides.

Sunday rolled around and Drew made his way back over to the house.

I helped Martin for bits throughout the day.

And then drew left to head home and get some grub with his mam, only to return a couple hours later with the car that the garage has been protecting; his s13.

240 much?
240 much?
240 much?
240 much?

Then we had Justin head over in his s14, and we had every Nissan 240 that America has seen (not S-chassis, but 240)

Definitely a good weekend.
